Jim's Experience
During the last ten years working as a principal and senior
developer, his related projects have included:

Commercial Econometric Forecasting, SoCal Gas :
the primary SAS modeler in developing 2001 econometric forecasts for SoCal Gas’ commercial sectors.

Analysis, Pacificorp :
Developed the interface for Quantec’s customized DICE model to analyze the cost effectiveness of
residential, commercial, and industrial efficiency programs at Pacificorp..

Long Run Obsolescence Forecasting, Toyota :
Developed ERASES, Econometric Reserve And Scrap Estimation System, for use by Toyota.

Enduse Modeling, SoCalGas :
Developed new interface for Quantec’s Quant.sim model to set up building/appliance/enduse/fuel choice scenarios.
James was the Load Forecasting Supervisor for the Southern
California Gas Company. While at SoCalGas he revamped their econometric and
end–use forecasting models as well as testifying as an expert witness for
SoCalGas before the California Public Utilities Commission. James wrote the
chapter on Econometric Load Forecasting published in the American Gas
Association's manual on Natural Gas Load Forecasting.
Prior to working for the Southern California Gas Company,
James worked for Toyota Motor Sales, USA and Isuzu Motors America Inc. While at
Toyota, he developed econometric forecasting models for vehicle and service
parts sales forecasting. While at Isuzu, he developed and implemented a
complete computer system to optimize every aspect of their service parts
distribution network.
