Pat's Experience

• Automating Magazine distribution company : Did the systems analysis, hardware design, wrote and implemented the software, trained the personel and trained employees to provide in-house support. The drivers scanned inventory coming off and on the shelves at the various locations. Then, in a matter of minutes, the clerical workers downloaded the data from the scanners. Then custom software updated the inventory, the accounting system and subsequently billed the customers with the software through an electronic data interface. Setup servers, workstations, network, etc. in St. Louis, San Antonio and Phoenix with links to St. Louis for management and remote access.

• St. Louis Area Maps : They had purchased the route delivery software and it was customized for their operations. The biggest accomplishment was a driver who was in his 60s, never owned a computer and didn't know how to turn one on. The software was so easy to use and understand, after 2 weeks, he loved it and would never want to go back to the manual system.

• Automating General Ledger at Famous-Barr : Automated the General Ledger, in charge of parallel functions of the manual and automated system and was ready to go live in 1 month. (Famous-Barr was the largest division of May Company, a Fortune 50 company, and was bought out by May Company.)

Pat has worked with many companies, large and small, over the last 25 years - always staying in touch with user's needs and delivering solutions to make the work efficient. He has the ability to explain the technology to users, in "layman" terms. Users understand the work to be performed, the final result to be accomplished and the steps to undertake for future plans.
